Step 1: Go to DESCO website (desco.org.bd) to find out "Online Customer Service Management System" web portal by clicking on 'অনলাইনে আবেদন-নতুন সংযোগ' link. 

Step 2: Register as a user in the OCSMS web portal.

Step 3: Activate the user account.

Step 4: Apply for new connection.

Step 5: Fill-up application form, add meters with attachments and submit.

Step 6: Application fees payment through user dashboard/enlisted bank.

Step 7: Demand Note fees payment through user dashboard/enlisted bank.

Step 8: Submission of solar documents (if applicable).

Step 9: Submission of meter information (if applicable).

During registration, a consumer needs to provide a valid mobile number. This mobile number will be used as the username.

After a successful registration process completion, password is sent to the registered mobile phone number.

Sometimes due to some Internet/network issues, users may not get SMS timely. Please have patience and wait for several minutes. If it doesn't get resolved, please contact the respective S&D Division.

Step 1: After a successful registration process completion, a SMS containing account activation code along with other information is sent to the registered mobile phone number.

Step 2: Go to http://ocsms.desco.org.bd:8080/home and click on "Registration Activation" button.

Step 3: Enter your valid registered mobile phone number and activation code on respective fields and press the "SUBMIT" button.

Step 4: Your account will be activated.

Step 1: Go to http://ocsms.desco.org.bd:8080/home and click on "Load Calculator" link at the navigation bar.

Step 2: Against each appliance (e.g Electric Fan, Tube Light, Microwave Oven, Washing Machine, Iron, Television, Air conditioner, Refrigerator etc.), place the number and daily and monthly usage.

Step 3: This way the total load in KW format will be calculated automatically and displayed at the bottom of the page.

Step 1: Login to your profile using the valid credential. Click on the "Edit Profile" button.

Step 2: Put the correct NID number and press the "Update" button.

Step 3: Then re-submit the application.

Step 1: Go to http://ocsms.desco.org.bd:8080/home and click on "Login" button.

Step 2: Click on the link "Forgot Password".

Step 3: Give your valid registered mobile phone number.

Step 4: A new password will be sent to that registered mobile phone number.

While attaching any document, keep the below points in mind:

Step 1: In case of any photo attachment, select a valid formatted photo (e.g .jpg, .gif, .png, .bmp), keep the file size within 700KB

Step 2: In case of any pdf attachment, keep the file size within 700KB

Step 3: Edited or cropped photos/documents from Internet may have extra-large name which causes problems during attachment.

Step 4: Always rename the file/document to a shorter name (e.g NID.png, Rajuk Certificate.pdf etc) before attaching.

Step 1: Go to http://ocsms.desco.org.bd:8080/home and click on "Service Offices" button.

Step 2: Contact the apparently nearest S&D based on your location with your area and thana information.

Sometimes due to some Internet/network issues, payment status isn't updated instantly. Please have patience and wait for several minutes. If it doesn't get updated, please contact the respective S&D Division.

[Existing consumer may need to increase/decrease the electricity load as well as new meter connection. To change load, please follow the steps below.]

Step 1: Login to the OCSMS web portal with ‘Username’ and ‘Password’. 

Step 2: Click on the link “New Connection/Load Change” menu from the left panel of the dashboard. A new application form will appear with three tabs.

Step 3: Go to Basic Information page, provide basic information and click on “Save & Continue” button.

Step 4: Go to Connection/Meter List page, click on “Add New Meter” button, provide necessary information of connection and click on “Save & Continue” button.

Step 5: Go to Attachment page, attach necessary documents as required and click on “Save” button.

Step 6: To submit application, click on “Submit & Close” button. A confirmation popup will appear with Yes/No option.

Step 7: Click on “Yes” option. Application will be submitted successfully and user will get a confirmation SMS.

If the previous load of an account number is 2 KW and you want to increase the load by 3 KW to that account number, the applicant has to write 5 KW in the ‘Load (KW)’ field.
